About me

No, no. It's not about me...it's about YOU. I write this stuff for fun, and largely to provide a source of information about certain games (TF2, The Sims 3) directly from a user point of view. I can answer questions about gaming stuff. Just leave me a comment. Other than that, my main addiction is Law and Order and finally getting round to doing my Bachelor of Laws. And so that you're not disappointed, the social networking links on the left don't work. I don't use those. Read more about me »

And the best place to take a child is…

Sunday, July 25th, 2010

The Royal International Air Tattoo, of course!  How could anyone think otherwise? A little back story I was so excited about going to RIAT this year.  I hadn’t been since 2007 and was desperate to go again.  I don’t believe in war, however I think that the necessity of such things brings out the amazing [...]

Yes? Can I help you?

Monday, April 26th, 2010

Last week within the space of 24 hours two people knocked on my door and asked me pretty much the same question.  The first one I wasn’t so bothered about, the second one I was.  Why?  Because it was on a Saturday morning.  Are weekends no longer sacred? Scenario One I was quietly minding my [...]

The Militant Feminist In Me

Monday, October 26th, 2009

Lately, the topic of feminism has come up a fair bit, not just in the news but also in every day life.  And more often than I would care to admit, I struggle with not only the concept of feminism but also with where I stand on the issue.  Shock!  Horror! I believe in Feminism [...]

The Long Day Is Over

Friday, October 16th, 2009

A mediocre element of this week I took the final exam for A210 on Wednesday.  Part of me thought that I should be nervous, another part of me thought that I hadn’t done enough revision.  So, I get into this exam, in, of all places, Essex County Cricket Ground and when the exam beings I [...]

Last week sucked. Move along, nothing to see here.

Monday, October 12th, 2009

I kid ye not.  (Did you know that “ye” is the plural form of “you” in old English?) Oh dear…not so many pictures in this post as there has been recently?! For those of you with short attention spans who need something to look at, there’s a video at the bottom! At the weekend I [...]

A brief aside on The Recession

Wednesday, September 9th, 2009

There are many things in life I hate.  Many of them I write about here.  Some never make it out of the tiny domain of my mind, but this one pissed me off so I’m going to write about it. I hate it when people take liberties. Let me go even further, I hate it [...]

The customer is always…stupid?

Monday, September 7th, 2009

According to some DSG employees on Facebook, the Customer is Always Stupid. I’m not surprised that they think that. I’m surprised that they don’t realise they are on the bottom rung of the IT ladder, and are in fact the most stupid of all people working in IT. You’ve got to be fucking retarded to [...]

What’s going on?

Wednesday, June 10th, 2009

Seriously guys, WTF is up with Britain at the moment? Gordon Brown is trying to push through electoral reform – So, a man who has never been elected to either lead the Labour Party, or be Prime Minister, instead it was decided in some curry house 15 years ago, has determined that Britain needs electoral [...]

Plagiarise This! *Displays middle finger*

Sunday, April 12th, 2009

As someone who regularly talks about their OU degree on here, I have come to expect, and of course accept, that I will get referrals from search terms relating to the assignments and TMAs in the courses.  Of course, I would be stupid if I didn’t believe that would happen. What does however surprise me [...]

Twitter is for Cocksuckers.

Monday, April 6th, 2009

I try to keep up with most of this Web 2.0 technology.  I don’t mean keep up in the OMG!!!!!£!¬”!!”!”!!q!¬1111″!!! fanboi type way, I mean that I merely know what’s going on.  As you can see, over there —> I even use some of it, mainly in the form of tags.  I’m not a complete [...]
