About me

No, no. It's not about me...it's about YOU. I write this stuff for fun, and largely to provide a source of information about certain games (TF2, The Sims 3) directly from a user point of view. I can answer questions about gaming stuff. Just leave me a comment. Other than that, my main addiction is Law and Order and finally getting round to doing my Bachelor of Laws. And so that you're not disappointed, the social networking links on the left don't work. I don't use those. Read more about me »

What is it about families that stokes nostalgia?

Sunday, August 22nd, 2010

BORING POST ALERT! So, I had a visit from my parents recently.  And it’s left me with one nagging question…what is it about families, and certain people within families that forces up nostalgia and stories of the past? I’m just really curious.  Why do some people like to drag up stories of the past?  Why [...]

Age catches up with the Tempers

Wednesday, February 24th, 2010

Well, not all of them, of course.  Previously we had one of the Tempers doing the right thing by his girl.  Now it’s all just getting a little messy. Alex, the ghostly one in politics was doing well in her career, and had become accustomed to asking for donations or throwing fundraisers.  While this sim [...]

If you’re fond of Tempers and salty air

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

Having previously reduced the size of the gene pool in the town, the Temper family carry on. I’ve been trying out the same-sex pregnancy hack which I link to from my FAQs, and thought that it would be a good move to try it with two laydeez.  Unfortunately I can’t make enough space in the [...]

Tempered Glass

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

So, Elaine became pregnant with her fourth child previously.  What exciting joys does life hold for her now? Before she has her fourth kid, she gets to see her first kid become a teenager.  20% of the way to completing that lifetime wish, eh Elaine! That’s right Elaine, keep your eyes on the prize. When [...]

Are we human, or are we Temper?

Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009

Recently we’ve seen people leave, engagements happen and babies be born.  Just a normal few days for the Tempers.  There’s no let up in their excitement. Filly’s ruse has worked.  She now not only engaged to Elisha, but also pregnant by him and only a couple of days off becoming an elder.  She better move [...]

The Temper clock’s a ticking

Wednesday, December 16th, 2009

Previously, we’ve seen Elaine (I now remember her name!) give birth to a kid, because, don’t you know, that’s just what you do.  When we left them last time she was pregnant for the second time.  She has the desire to raise five kiddlywinks from babies to toddlers.  Woo for you woman, damn woo for [...]

Temperarily indisposed (see what I did there?)

Wednesday, December 9th, 2009

Previously, the new matriarch of the house has been asserting her place in it by getting pregnant.  Because, don’t we all know that in this society pregnancy and procreation is the only form of self-validation? Giving birth with an audience is nothing new in the Temper Family, however there’s something going on here which you [...]

Iz Mah Birfday!

Tuesday, August 26th, 2008

Well, actually it is not. It is the birthday of The Boss. Quarter of a century. Dude. I got him a QI DVD and tickets to see Russell Howard Live. Bit peeved that I was too late for Stall tickets and ended up with the Circle, but that’s cool. £15 each isn’t bad for a [...]

Items up for discussion today…

Monday, July 21st, 2008

1) Why is it that you do something for someone, and they don’t appreciate it? Oh yeah, that’s right, you can’t do anything right for anyone anymore, can you? And of course, the rest of the freaking world is too selfish to realise that you have actually done something for them. That includes a lot [...]

Oh, just typical, right?

Monday, June 16th, 2008

So for a while now you’ve been coveting an ND8, or rather Neutral Density Filter. It’s Monday, it’s June, you come home from work, you find the filter on your door mat. Wonderous. What is the natural course of events now? Sure, you want to take it outside and give it a try…Good on you. [...]
